1. Reliable and self repairable
EXOS X has self-healing storage technology, advanced distributed automatic protection technology (ADAPT), and hard disk autonomous recovery technology (ADR). The on-site validated design provides "five nines" (99.999%) availability. The SEAGATE ADAPT erasure code data protection software significantly reduces the cost of array reconstruction. The unique SEATE ADR can automatically and dynamically update hard drives in situ, reducing human intervention and electronic waste.

Adopting a dual active mode redundant controller supported by ASIC based VELOSCT controller architecture, the performance is up to twice that of the previous generation product. Simplify expenses by improving transportation volume, managing, and restoring.

All system components, including the host shell, controller, firmware, and hard drive, are carefully developed and optimized by engineers for seamless collaborative operation. EXOS X 5U84 can accommodate up to 84 hard drives in a single 5U host shell, providing high availability and excellent sequential read/write rates. By connecting up to 4 5U84 host shells together, a total of 336 hard drive slots can be provided, supporting easy expansion to adapt to data explosion.
